1500€ for an i5 quadcore cpu 8gb 3777 ddr4 ram ah ok… A macbook air costs with an i5 quadcore cpu and 8gb 3777 ddr4 ram 1174 euro… Mac looks better… Fells better caise of the aluminium … Just go for the macbook

Reviewers saying that the XPS line is just a plastic sandwich on the inside are either ignorant or Apple-biased. Its carbon fiber and provides a high-quality soft-touch interior. My XPS 13 is 4 years old and the carbon fiber still feels like new and premium.
The only problem I'm having is deciding between the two 7390s. Do I go traditional and 6 core or 4 core and 2 in 1 design. 🤔

I am an engineering student, so i want a computer that uses Excel efficiently as well as some data analysis programs. I also want to use a computer for entertainment sometimes such as watching Netflix, listening music and playing some games.

You need to evaluate, how important feature XYZ is to you. For me personally, most important features on a notebook are (in descending order): price, screen, keyboard, touchpad, performance, battery-life, weight, backlit-keys, upgradability, connectivity and warranty.
Features, which don't matter to *me*: webcam, built-in microphone, fingerprint reader, speaker quality.
That beeing said, I wouldn't buy either one of them. The MacBook Pro has a shitty keyboard, the XPS 13 has a shitty touchpad. Too little has happened in the last 6 years. Other than maybe USB-C, M.2 NVMe SSDs or 10h+ battery-life, my current laptop misses nothing. Give me a good reason to upgrade.
I'll take another look, when Intel Ice Lake CPUs (10nm) and Zen 2 (7nm) hit the mobile market. Maybe then things will get more interesting.

Most biased "reviewer" I have ever seen.
I got a dell XP’s 15, although overall it’s a better machine, the build quality failed and had to replace the motherboard because it wasn’t allowing the AC adapter to power itself up. Also the parts to replace for the XPS 15 were expensive. I think apple is more reliable , even though less powerful. I now have both an XPS 15 and a MacBook Air 😉
